Lienna:
I am a University graduate from the small town of Tulchin, Ukraine. It all started with my future husband Damon, when God had called him to be a missionary in Ukraine for 5 years. When we met, I wasn’t a believer, Damon had led me to the Lord.

After we got married, we started our own mission organization. We saw a huge need even in in my hometown area, to witness to Orphans, Poor Children and Disabled. We love children and we believe that God has a special place for them in His heart. Jesus said:  “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes Me; and whoever welcomes Me does not welcome me but the One who sent me.” Mark 9:36-37

We came back to the US to raise support and were able to hire 6 national ukrainian missionaries. They continue to do the work that God has started in Vinnitsa Oblast, Ukraine.

Damon:
I am a Ball State University graduate and a Graphic Design and Marketing professional who is increasing in awe of what the Lord has chosen to do though a shy-Indiana boy. It was His calling out of my comfort zone that led to 5 years living on the other side of the world in Ukraine where I met my gorgeous wife Lienna. Having started this ministry through “giving up what I could not keep to gain what I could not lose,” I am happy to be the Mission Media and Design go-to person.

Pastor of The Chapel Indy, a Sovereign Grace Church, Board AdvisorRandy

I am a graduate of Ball State University and Geneva Reformed Seminary (MDiv) and am passionate about connecting with people and leading them into a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. My wife Beth and I  have five children, ages ranging from 10 to 18 years. I am a huge fan of the Butler Bulldogs and the Cincinnati Reds, and read anything I can find on colonial history. I enjoy coin collecting and take great interest in Indiana politics (past and present).  I frequent the racks of Half-Price Bookstore when I need to relax.

I am the Pastor of God is Love Baptist Church in Nemyriv, Ukraine. I have five children. My deepest desire is to help others come to know Christ as Lord and Savior. I love to see little children come to know Christ. I wasn’t brought up in a Christian home. Someone shared Christ with me – saving my life, my soul and my marriage. Orphans are close to my heart – we adopted our daughter Natasha.

J&P fall 2013I have been doing mission work in Ukraine since my first youth camp in the summer of 1999 in the mountains of Carpati.  Patti and I have resided and worked in Lugansk, Zhitomir, Kiev, and Odessa since 2005.  We currently reside in New Berlin, Wisconsin, and attend a strongbible-teaching church.  One of our ministries here is encouraging others of our church who are considering full-time mission work for God.  One of my personal ministries is playing music with the worship team.  We have two married sons and eight grandchildren.  It is my prayer that God will enable our ministry in the Nemyriv area to grow so that we can do more and more for the people there.

My husband and I live in Vinnitsa, which is the capital of Vinnitsa Oblast, Ukraine. We have a five year old daughter. Her name is Tina. By God’s grace, we grew up in a Christian home. We accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior at a young age. We have been with Building Hope since the ministry was founded in 2010.

It’s been a huge blessing to serve orphans, disabled and poor children. Every summer, we organize camps where we teach Bible, do crafts and share God’s love. We see a great need for this ministry because there are more than 100,000 orphans in Ukraine. It is so important to tell children about the love of God; especially to fatherless children, so they know they aren’t alone and that God’s loves them no matter what – even if their parents abandoned them. It’s a great joy to be a part of this ministry and to be making a difference in the lives of children – to see their beautiful faces light up as they see our team each week.

We are originally from Nemyriv, Vinnitsa Oblast. We accepted Christ when we were still in middle school.

OplB7866PKIWe got involved with Building Hope ministry during the summer camps in 2012-2013. We feel God’s calling to help orphans and disabled and poor children because they are our future and we need to show them the right path and lead them to the Lord. We love children because they are always sincere and spontaneous.
